The Anaheim Housing Counseling Agency was created in 1998 by the Anaheim Housing Authority (AHA) to assist homeowners, homebuyers and renters to acquire and retain a home of their own. The goal of the Housing Counseling Agency is to provide counseling, information, assistance and education to buyers, owners and renters in Anaheim. To meet this goal, the agency offers one-on-one counseling in a private, secure setting, as well as counseling over the phone and via e-mail. The agency also conducts group seminars to provide general consumer information on the home purchase process, financing and re-financing options, credit repair, financial literacy and other topics that help meet the goal of home acquisition or retention and assist clients to make informed and reasonable decisions regarding their housing needs.
